I loved this book so fucking much. Steinbeck might be my favorite american author.

Grapes is more America story of us and readable in high schools, so it might be considered more of a "classic" in that sense, but very few people would argue that Grapes is better than East of Eden. also every account of Steinbeck from his family claims that he says EoE is his master work
