I picked up a copy when it first came out because I had enjoyed Mockingbird so much when I was younger.

But I haven't had the courage to crack it open yet. Too many poor reviews, mostly concerning how she completely changes the personality of one of the main characters.

It'll sit on my shelf for now.

I read like half of it. It's blatantly clear now why her editor told her to focus on the childhood memories. They are 1,000 times stronger than the rest of the boom.
