Well, gee, I recommend the Conservative manifesto, the Labour manifesto, the Lib Dem manifesto, the UKIP manifesto, the Green manifesto, the manifetso of whoever else is running in your constituency.

It's a bit more big-picture than you'd like but The Decline and Fall of the British Empire 1781-1997 by Piers Brandon is worth a read.

Also just vote for Corbyn. I say this as an American, you don't want someone who's even as vaguely friendly with Trump as May.

Coalition: The Inside Story of the Conservative-Liberal Democrat Coalition Government by David Laws

This covers the last two decades or so, and is the bare minimum to understanding where we are at now - reforms undertaken by Blair, the measures enacted to end the Great Reccesion, the current policies of the Tory goverment etc.
