recommend me books in which the protagonist is part of some big revolution. It can be sci-fi, historically accurate, doesnt matter. The last one I read that I liked was Dune, for example.

I am reading 1984 right now,but allready watched the movie. But the book "feels just way better"
The Rout (also known as The Nineteen) by Alexander Fadeyev about guerilla fighters in Russia against Japan 1920.
The Young Guard by the same author is set in WW2 (1942).
"How the steel was tempered" by Nikolai Ostrovsky about bolshevik fighters during the Russian civil war 1918-21.
Fadeyev won a Stalin Prize and Ostrovsky the Lenin Order for their work.
