I suggest first you read ABOUT him in Plutarch's Lives (which is always damn entertaining reading)
Then once you know some context, decide on one of his oratories. Pick the one that interests you most, you'll get the most out of it.

It's a song we had to memorize for Latin classes, called "Gaudeamus igitur". My Latin is shit so a single word ("senectute") triggered the memories.

I read through a selection of his defence oratories out of interest. Some light background reading helps, but in general they're damn good stories and some passages are absolutely brilliant. Meaning to start with his political speeches soon
