Is stephen king really that great?
I loved reading his books in high school, but I got bored of them and moved onto to more /lit/ stuff. They can be fun reads, though.
Actually, Different Seasons is a good collection of stories, except for the nazi one.

He's very good when not writing horror or science fiction. Hearts is Atlantis is criminally underrated, and so is Different Seasons

do you think most of his books are only for teenagers?
>>9487368
>only for teenagers
What do you mean? I mean a lot of adults read thriller and fantasy stories, so there's no reason some adults might not like King's books.
He's good at producing stories, but terrible at writing,
He repeats himself a lot, his prose isn't anything special, his plots always disappoint, his characters are shallow cartoons, and his books are bloated with pointless and overlong scenes.

This.

He's the blink-182 of authors desu
Salem's lot was pretty good, Misery as well.
Can any Stephen King fans or casual readers of his work list for me his books that are his best/most worthwhile? I'm sure he has some that'd be worth a shot. Thank ya kindly.

>He hasn't read the long walk.
My ex-girlfriend was Stephen King fan.
She loved anal.
You should do the conclusions yourself.

I can't think of anything of his that doesn't fall to shit at the end, and I used to be a diehard fan.

Since he got sober, no not really.
Even when he a drunken coke animal, his stuff is pretty hit and miss. Some is fucking great, a lot is complete garbage.
is everyone in this thread b8?

Holy fuck, Hearts in Atlantis was amazing. The story "Man We Just Couldn't Stop Laughing" was my absolute favorite.
I liked Rage that he wrote under the Richard Bachman name but I was a teenager when I read it

>The sponge scene
>>9487352
>Except for that FUCKING KIKE LOVING ONE!
>>9487333
>stephen king - king of horror
>richard bachman - random shit
I think IT will be the one to be studied in classrooms if that does ever happen with King's work. Say what you will but it has a lot of depth even for genre fiction.

Apt Pupil one is great though

The Nazi one was good.
