I really like the stuff Basho et al. have written, itwas minimalism before the modernists made minimalism cool in the west
imo it is or at least was a great form, i's just been bastardized by people like OP who think any bullshit they pull out of their ass with the right number of syllabus can pass as haiku

don't google Basho though, it's almost impossible to find acceptable translations
