Master and Margarita and Dr Zhivago are recent purchases (past two weeks). I have read the rest of them except for Demons, which i'll probably read after I finish Thus Spoke Zarathustra.

The reason I have two copies of W&P is because I wanted to compare the translations for future reference. I much preferred Maude.

I loved Life and Fate. Its very similar in style and structure to War and Peace. The scenes were Viktor's mother and the Jewish people from her town are on their way, then arrive, to the camps were pretty fucking emotional.

My real criticism of the book was that at some points it felt like not a lot was actually happening, and that it could have been shortened. I think its because the book never really had the chance to be edited since it was smuggled out of the Soviet Union after the author died.

I just posted about the Russian stuff - I haven't read M&M, Zhivago and Demons.

Oh shelfs. Have i ever told you the story of my book shelf? Of course i haven't HAHAHAHAHA since you don't know. I would know if you knew me, trust me. I must stress that trust is fundamental to human existance on planet earth. For example: If one looks at a book shelf there is already trust in play. Do you now understand what i mean? Trust is the essence of everythig, most importnatly of book shelfs. There is a certain element of trust in putting shelfs on a book. It requires a daring heart and large-sized extra heavy balls. Thus i will now tell you this fascinating and tinitilizing and scrutinizing story of how my book shelf turned into my lover. It was on a saturday night at the end of the market garden military campaign when i had arrived home from working as a janitor in my former high school named "Alison City High". Here in Alison City high, one must know this, there is not much of life going on. What happens is that you can hear screams of "eee" in the night, produced by aethereal creatures named "Ghoists" who haunt this city. Outside of that the population only counts roughly 50k souls and 25 thousand woman. When i returned home for university i sat down on my table and read a book about poetry of marshes. There was a poem named "Swamp dela cramp" and it went like this: Swamp dela cramp, give me a stamp, swamp de la cramp, this is my land and so on. I was very fascinated and thought: If i now collect more books i may create a bookshelf whose constitutive books would themself a form of personality . Isn't this all but true? Isn't it so that when one puts 20 books next to each other and one connects them imaginately something almost as complex as a human is a result? It is fair to deny such a thought experiment. But this is literally what happened. Once i had assembled my library of 20 books in my bookshelf the bookshelf melted into a tiny 3 foot human being. I was shouting from fear and excitement and danced like a whirwliwind across the basin but when i had found secure ooting and calmed my mind by images of emmanuel Macron in the Sauna with his mother, who, with jealousy eyes her sons breasts, one i had calmed myself this way - i have learned this method in church - i asked the shelfman:"Where are my books?" and she said: "I'm a saxophone player well versed in the arts of jazz and math rock. I must inform you that your books have now become the essenc eof my soul. It seems that if translated into human beings these are what your 20 books become". I didn#t believe a single word of this liar. I was assured, rightly so, that my books much rather constituted a person who's interest was guided in climbing mountains made of trash in south africa and write verses about the beauty of ecological catastrophy, with a refined taste in vino and mahjong. A saxophone player=? I started spanking the little man and then onc ethe unishment had been succesfully enacted i adopted the evoluitoonary method of mimickry and became a bookshelf myself. ever sinc

Thus i was strangely agrevated when i had to realize that most people on htis 4CHAN BOARD where absolutely d'accord with such a tale of lies and deception. Let me tell you of a little wisdom my mom once told m. as to ensure that you can vividly imagine this happening let me announce that my mother is the famous tennis player Leonora Zwetova. After her career had ended with tragic failure and she had herself become addicted to taking cocaine behind the back of her friends all those who loved her and then she marrried a stinking large men who showered at most 1 per week and claimed that chemicals in shower gels and shampoos were generally dangerous tothe natural integrity of the human body and would castrate it's natural capabilities of sustaining nice and non-greasy hair. He maintained this opinion with outright fecocrity and would dchallenge anyone who dared dispute his truth to a duel to live and death, which happened surprisingly often. I still rememer that one day when Mr. Davington, our fat and noisy neighbour who ate atleast 4 hamburgers per day and was an avid fan of the traditional kabuki theatre, threw his dirty underwear inon the face of my naked sleeping father who with animal instinct threw a spear at Mr. Kawinsky in return. he stabbed him in his ass and when Mr. Kawinsky demanded an apology from my stark naked father, my father was so full of sorrow in light of this humiliating situation that he demanded a duel to be carried out immediately. My father, more animal than man, didn't wait for a response but drew his pistol out of his pocket and shots Mr. Krewinsky three times in the head. Blood and guts spilled out into the sky and shrill screams from fearful females filled the sky with exciting nise. My father put on the clothes of Mr. Krewinsky though they didn't fit and fell off immediately again, since Mr. krewinsky had been so terribly fat that nobody, not even Mr. krewinsky himself were capable of measuring the weight of his body. It would have been fair to say that Mr. Krewinsky was fatter than the pokemon relaxo, but that wuld be respectless after his tragic death 11 years ago, when out of nowere, a truck ran him over on the way from Southampton to London. There was hius grave too, where there words of oveness in his name written down by grievous family members. Me and my father often visit this grave, since he and Mr. Kowalski were very good friends ever since going to elementary school. It was a great shock when the truck had ran his friend over and we flew over from Australa right then to visit the funeral, where my father also met his junior high school love: Tarantual Parker. Tarantula was a woman with sexual charms. She knew just how and when to position her face as to make every man think that Tarantula wanted nothing more in life than just that man. Tarantula was not very inteligent when it came to such matters as counting or thinking, but she had an intuitive knowledge for getting what she wanted from man. she

Death and love, how close their dance, breath and lips gifting each other with caresses of pleasure. yes indeed, death and love go hand in hand. Now that i think of all these moments which had passed since my love had left me i was reminde of some things my little brother taught me when he was getting over his loss of his wife in a terrible terror attack. He said to me: Big rother in love one must be a general see, love is just a name for the battlefield of desire. each side desires to conquer one another, on the battlefield of love, it is an equilibrium of power, maintained by a willingness to conquer that constitutes true love. Here one finds the absolute tension of ertoci desire, equalled by the two lovers. Like a general one must assess the situation, one's own strenghts and weaknesses and those of the other. Then one must be swift and cunning. Desire for victory is the condition to maintain this highest of loves. Surely both parties can arrange themself on this battlefield, and live a peaceful and lovefilled existance with one another, but to experience the highest form of love onboth sides need to be consumed by desire to conquer and be conquered, no? thus remember always: On the battlefield of desire be a swift, cunning and analytical general. Think of Clausewitz and thus always strike with victory in mind. This will teach you the great pleasures of absolute love. I nodded with deep understanding and patted my little bro. I said: good job, and then walked out of the room in which he remained standing. Once outside i walked down stairs until i reached the lower floor. There my path was blocked by edward Norton who with a cheeky smirk and winking occasionally as if i knew what he actually meant started telling me about mergers and acquisitions. I was feigning interest but Edward Norton just didn't stop. After a while he started talking about his future film roles and ho he was aiming high this time around, declaring boldly that he knew, once he was back on his foot that he would win the oscar and finally overcome that jerk patrick Bateman. All of this was said in a friendly tone and sympathetic way, yet i felt very uneasy due to having a depointment with the president of the unites tates, Dr. Trump. I bowed with apology and said: edward, nice story, but i'm going now. In all honesty i think you will win even THREE academy awards. edward started crying from joy and said "Really, you really think that Thank you so much, oh my god thank you". I teleported away from this situation. At his home dr. Trump was waiting for me. He askedif there were any compications in regards to health which i denied. I was as fit as turnshoe and he smiled happily. I knew for a fact that Dr. Trump was a man who wanted the best for his patients. aside from his slightly awkward comments about the beauty of vaginas he was a thorough and down-to-eart kind of man. His face was pale though and so o inquired: Dr. Trump are there any issues with YOUR health sir? he choked

Reading and hoarding not mutually exclusive, & in my view if someone owns more than one copy of a book that means they're more, not less likely to have read it.
