I've been reading some classical texts recently, including ab urbe condita and some of Catullus' stuff. Any recommendations?

Get some Greek stuff. I found Xenophons Anabasis to be great fun.

If you are reading these in translation and you like them, then you MUST LEARN LATIN. I'm not memeing you. Get one of those textbooks where you can teach yourself Latin and then get some high school editions of Latin texts (they have one for Catullus, pic related) which include a full glossary and grammatical notes. If you do it like that, it really isn't that hard. And Latin poetry is a hundred times better in the original.

Op here, I do read in latin, I'm just not terribly proficient, so some texts are pretty difficult

Few books I would recommend for a hot summer day, night. But Satyricon's one of 'em. What an incredible (if sadly fragmented) book. Made me realize how close in time to these people we really are.
