I would recommend a book on world history but haven't studied it much, maybe google search essential world history or college history textbooks.

This unironically, the videos don't go too in depth sure but it is good to have a broad overarching knowledge of world history before you specialize in certain areas/eras so you can put them in their historical context more easily. If the average person watched these videos we would probably live in a better world, not even joking because the amount of ignorance of even basic historical knowledge that many people show is ridiculous, especially in the Information Age.
