Should I get it?
Do you want to read it?

Yes
I just dont know if that edition is any good
It takes like three days to learn French, don't read those.

I'd say pick it up if it's cheap and if it's the Kilmartin/Montcrieff translation. I actually think that having two large volumes would not be a great way to read it, but you could at least start reading it and see if it's something worth getting a better edition of. I don't think I would be able to read it all in that volume, but I would use it as a way of getting myself hooked, if the price was good.
Pic related is still the best way to go for English Proust.
The shittiest translation.

The version in the pic is pre-Kilmartin. I have that edition and it's pretty bad.

If at all possible, read it in French. If not, I am guessing there are a few different translations. Look into the various reviews or read a bit of each to see which one you prefer.
get it

Ah. I'd give it a pass then, OP.

I have the very same edition picked it up for four dollars at a goodwill.
