Step 1: set a realistic goal for writing
Step 2: meet that goal consistently
Step 3: try to show your work to others and get the "my pokemans, let me show you them" treatment
Step 4: publish it on your wordpress site and do not get depressed when nobody comments on it
Step 5: try to get it published and fail
Step 6: lie awake at night wondering what is wrong with you
