I have the exact opposite reaction. I read faster and for longer periods while stoned. No problem with information retention, but I'm also the kind of person that never takes notes or studies and can still ace memorization tests.

The one time i attempted reading while high i was on edibles. I could read just fine but the day after i didn't remember anything. I'm sure smoking a bowl before reading would be fine though
