A little yeah. He's great but still just lower mid tier in patrician power level.
sounds good to me. just finished reading Siddhartha. any recs on what of his to read next for a Hesse noob?
You're a massive pleb, which is telling you a lot more about you than about Hesse.
Basically, read more.

>itt peoplewho read Siddhartha and think they know anything about hesse

narcissus and goldmund

sure are
>>9441133
yup

But I've read siddharta, steppenwolf and demian, if there's something more interesting...

The Glass Bead Game is probably his best (admittedly I haven't read every one of his novels), it's good upper-pleb lit. All of his writing is too didactic to be true patrician.

More like Ass

The Glass Bead Game is pretty dry reading. The best parts of it are the short stories at the end. Steppenwolf is where it's at.

Look no one is shaming you, Hesse is a great author to like. We all have to start somewhere

Both are extremely good, why decide? Read both.

No. If youre less than 21.
Hesse is my fav too. Narcissus and Goldmund is goat.
Das Glasperlenspiel is great also.
