but tl;dr To him, the anxiety that the trans person may experience when confronted with a binary gender choice is not exclusive to trans people: rather, it is in every person, homo, hetero, trans or cis. rather, that very same tension is how all of our sexuality works. the tension is built into the gender binary

and from that, one can develop that trans people bring out the universal antagonistic tension inscribed into all of our identities; and thus, trans people are "universal" in the same sense as a proletarian position brings up the inherent antagonism in a capitalist class society. if you're a /pol/ack, you probably read that as "uhh he is saying that trans are superior!!"

no, he defined "violence" differently. in such a way that reactionary violence (like Hitler's) which aims to keep the existing socio-economic situation more or less intact is less violent than, for example, Gandhi's non-violent violence which really aimed to stop the functioning of the colonial state
