Where's the line between art and porn?

Taste
That can't be the real quote. I know Nabokov isn't as good as I remember but I liked that part and it really wasn't that fucking bad.

nabokov made juvenile, insignificant work. the fact that he is among the leading modern writers brings shame to the name of literature. He tried to compensate for his obvious immaturity and shallow level of thought and understanding by adopting the arbitrary doctrine emphasizing something like "aesthetic purity," and ended up reducing his art to nothing but a thin residue of sugary fluff. He arrogantly peacocked around, followed by his smug, dimwitted elitist followers, trying to show off the purity of his art, not realizing all the while that he essentially forgot to include pretty much everything that makes art truly great. Every time I hear someone go off about the "mastery of Nabokov's prose," and I remember the sickeningly sugary sentences, sculpted obsessively by what really amounts to a 14 year old child with a linguistic gift, I feel sick to my stomach. Literature cannot be and is not just the form. Literature is not just a collection of sensations strung together.

What is Literature?

I'm not going to delude myself or anyone else into thinking that I can come up with an ultimate definition of literature, but I do know from experience that literature has much more to offer than a fucking "shiver in the spine"
Porn is produced for masturbation
Art is produced for intellectual masturbation
some judge still recognized artistic form in opus pistorum.

You fools realize that Humbert Humbert is supposed to be ridiculously pretentious, right?
