yeah. for example, if there's exposition about how a fantasy element works, then i'll get 4 or 5 ideas on how i'd implement it, or how i'd improve on it, or how it could have been better if character b said it, or i'd get an idea for my own story. etc, etc. this'll happen every page and with anything at all, it can take me minutes to get back the book, and even i'm still monologuing internally. it makes reading fucking exhausting.
