Hey /lit/ sorry if this is a bit of a basic question, but my college is pretty shite and im feeling a bit stranded with my 10-12k thesis, any tips?
>Develop an argument
>split argument into three chapters at 3000 words each
>split each chapter into 10 pages
>plan 2 paragraphs each on 10 pages and structure organically.
>Get the content down as soon as possible, even if its shit and in a draft form
>spend the remaining time editing and refining until its perfect.
>write intro and conclusion last.
>Source in full as you go
>develop a cocaine habit
>Kill yourself as its pointless anyway.
>Get an A.
What are my qualifications? I'm a stranger on the internet.
Here is the University of Toronto's guide to thesis writing: http://advice.writing.utoronto.ca/planning/thesis-statements/
No general advice will be very useful. Every institution, field, level etc. is different and you'll want to tailor any thesis to its readers specifically. The best advice would be to work closely with whoever is going to be reading it. If you can't do that, for some reason, you should still be working closely with SOMEONE who can advise you and with whom you get along, and getting feedback.

Start and accept that it'll never live up to your standards.

That's good advice. Reading similar works in the field should also be useful.
