The handful of bits I've seen looked genuinely funny. I think that considering how huge it is it might have been worth the price as a coffee-table book/oddity.

I read a bit of it in pdf and it's basically just MDE in book form. I haven't watched a lot of MDE but there was a section word for word copied from 2070 Paradigm Shift.

I don't think it will even go down as a cult hit desu, it just isn't that interesting. The jokes work a bit better on the internet because they are more temporary there
