What are your thoughts on the Folio Society books?
I just eat my money or set it on fire, it's much less of a waste that way.
It's a fine press that makes great bindings. What the fuck do you expect to hear that would warrant a whole thread?

Try earning more money instead of shitposting, sweetie. Then you wouldn't have to be assmad at people who can afford nice things.

Overpriced, and a little bit pretentious, but if any catch your eye you can usually find them on ebay for a fraction of the price.

the only person i know who buys their shit is some dumb idiot who spends all their money on useless shit then complains that they have little money for anything else.
Great books. Buy during massive sales on NY and summer. Over 120 titles from them - all absolutely fantastic.
Aesthetically? on the outside they get camp wrong, on the inside they often choose the worst Illustrations because they were done by somebody famous or some shit.
Also their paper is always to thin.

not relevant enough to earn my scorn

The books themselves are great, and always feel well-crafted.
I don't like their choices for some of the anthologies though, and illustrators can definitely be hit or miss. I've got some volumes with embarrassingly bad illustrations.

I prefer Franklin Library books
The new Ulysses edition looks cute.
