Hi guys, what are the most valid books against neopositivism - quine view of philosophy ?
> Even a generic book that touches different authors
*cough* Nietzsche.

I was searching for something more focused on theory of knowledge.
>>9386888
then i can't help you, I've only read Nietzsche
what exactly do you think neopositivism is?
>>9386932
Wittgenstein, Russell, carnap, quine
Philosophy and the Mirror of Nature
>>9386976
what is it that those 4 somehow share?
I assume you mean early Wittgenstein, but even so they all have a lot of differences
if you summarise let's say the 3 key statements of neopositivism so I have a better idea of what you are interested in then I'll be able to recommend some books
Husserl - Crisis of European science
>>9386979
- linguistic analysis
- verificationism
- refuse of metaphysic
>Something like that, i mean i ve studied the classics (hume, Hegel, ecc) but i wanted to know if a serious critic of neopositivism have been done in more recent time

Approved.
Neopositivism sounds really valid at first. But from the position of phenomenology it suddenly becomes less convincing.

Any other book beside Husserl?
>There is any good generic book about phenomenology? Maybe that talk of the points of view of the most important philosopher in the business?

Im intrested to
>>9386976
>Implying Wittgenstein (the great proponent of anti-scientism) was a positivist
>Implying Quine, the anti-empiricist naturalist philosopher was a positivist
