Why do people think this book is boring?

Because this book is boring.

It's repetitive, and the brief chapters that don't follow the Joads are very hit and miss.

I like it a lot though.

Grapes of Wrath?
More like belongs in the trash

Satantango is by far slower, and more boring, but I just didn't really like the style that Steinbeck used for Grapes

Because Steinbeck's prose is one of the most mundane and vapid overrated pieces of shit you'll ever read. And they even gave the guy a Nobel prize, what a fucking joke.

Because the people who call it boring are 18 y/o virgins raised on call of duty and mountain dew. With no attention span further than two pages before they wander.

Came here to say this. I couldn't put East of Eden down.

It's such a well-written work that I don't give a shit what the plot is about, it's still good.
