Being authentic is much better it will lead to a happier life you may not be able to articulate it to people but integrity leaves a person with a better opinion of themselves as they are not living off the opinions of other in the first place.
Fakers are at the whim of the people they lie to, it will haunt them and cause stress in their life. It only takes a single person to expose them and it's all over, once more they know it.
