build a nest egg while gathering experiences then quit and live frugally while writing

Stop with these idiotic posts. This is the reason /lit/ is going to shit.
Remember to sage pointless threads in the options field.

Doesn't matter. Anyone under the age of 30 isn't worth reading anyways.

Going through high intensity periods of work is draining but I suggest it.
Work two full time jobs, stay at your parents if you can, and completely cut yourself off like a monk. Stockpile cash and budget properly, you can put yourself in a position to wait tables for two nights and live for a year doing why you want.

How's that even remotely possible?

Lack of sleep, unfortunately.

It's not sustainable but you can do it. I'm working in a fetish and bondage shop from 6pm-3am Tues-Sat, bakery from 5am-1pm Thurs-Sun, and I pick up shifts as a bicycle deliverer at a Jimmy John's every once in a while. You nap in the car most days. The porn store is such a shit show that they hardly ever fire people. I've missed work from oversleeping but they never bring it up.
