The Divine Comedy is not really epic. It certainly has some similarities, but since it's written in first person and it lacks an hero figure and war scenes, no one calls it epic. It has been variously defined as a "religious poem", "allegorical poem" or even "didactic poetry".
Other suggestions if you're interested in long-form epic poems / chivalric romance:
- Argonautica by Apollonius Rodius
- Pharsalia by Lucan
- Nibelungenlied
- Chanson de Roland
- Cantar de Mio Cid
- Roman de la Rose by Guillaume de Lorris and Jean de Meun
- Hypnerotomachia Poliphili by Francesco Colonna
- Morgante by Luigi Pulci
- Orlando Innamorato by Matteo Maria Boiardo
- Orlando Furioso by Ludovico Ariosto
- Gerusalemme Liberata by Torquato Tasso
- Os LusÃadas by Luis de Camoes
- Adone by Giambattista Marino
(all of them are very good)
Nibelungenlied is best desu
