Jonathan Culler's Structuralist Poetics and I'm learning french right now.

Culler's perhaps the clearest expositor of post-structuralist thinking in American English. I also read his book on Decon back when I was in school, fine choice. My language was German although my antecedents are if not culturally then Nationally French: Saverne.
