Can anyone suggest any books that deal heavily with solitude and descriptions of living in nature?
I thoroughly enjoyed Desert Solitaire and Into the Wild - and am looking for books of a similar nature (no pun intended.)

I haven't read any of these but I asked the same thing in a thread and I walked away with these recs: Walden, Blood Meridian, The Peregrine, and Whitman and Jeffers for poetry. Other than those, I keep shilling pic related on /lit/. It has gorgeous prose about the sea, land and men, not so much about living in solitude though.

Currently in a nature writing class.
Of what we've read, I like Emerson's 'Nature' and Muir's 'The Mountains of California' the most.

John and William Bartram were America's first litetary naturalists. Some great writing. Google. Also, where is Barry Lopez? Or, for England, Gilbert White?
