I used it as a term to encapsulate multiple opinions, anon. Get your head out of your ass.
I dropped it at page 250 or so, he is a good writer but "muh aristocracy problems" isnt my cup of tea. Should I check out any of his other works?

Joseph and His Brothers is the most narrative driven and would probably be highly inspiring if you know about Joseph in the Bible at all. But it's also 1500 pages long and you could practically read all of the Old Testament again. If you don't like aristocratic problems you probably shouldn't check out Buddenbrooks as it basically details how a bourgeois family gets rekt, but if you REALLY don't like aristocrats it could be of interest. Doctor Faustus is good I suppose if you're well versed in music theory

The last chapter is literally perfect
The guy that I look up to and try to mimic as an Intellectual said that it's his favorite book, so I like it a lot.
Outstanding novel with the snow and duel chapters standing overall. Seems particularly relevant given the current social and political climate in the West.
