If you haven't lived something that you find you need to write about, then why write? But then again, if you can write something captivating, why not do so if you're passionate about it?

The two people I know that actually consider themselves writers are both borderline narcissists that go out of their way to immiserate themselves strictly for material and, I guess, to lend a sense of 'authenticity' to their scribbles.
