It's good. My christian background is very, very weak, and I was bored to death by reading the Confessions. But the City of God is completely different, covering a decently wide range of problems and developing some serious, legit, accurate philosophy. When I read it I was like, "wow really ? so this guy is a true philosopher ? it's fucking interesting, sometimes difficult but never nonsensical." That was a nice surprise.
