I'm fifty fifty on him. I loved white noise but pretty much hated underworld. It's his dialogue that makes it or breaks it for me.

he's basically a post structuralist philosopher who writes with hemingways prose infused with christian mysticism. He has some of the best sentences since WW2. If you have a propensity for misunderstanding or missing out on dry and sardonic humor or find cold war society boring he's not your guy.

The dialogue. It wasn't so much that it wasn't realistic but that it was just too much, too many perfect little conclusions to everything. Strangers talked like old friends and family talked like acquaintances. Maybe it was deliberate but it didn't work for me.
