What do you think of his work?
Harold Bloom says he is garbage.
Harold Bloom is the law.
It's interesting how the grammar hasn't aged that much over the time period, compared to other European languages

Its more interesting why as a whole Western Europe decided to remove all their grammatical cases.

Hungarian has eighteen goddamn cases? Is there any Hungarians here to explain what they all are? I cannot possibly conceive.

>Harold Bloom says he is garbage.
What? Why would he devote a large book to analysis of all his plays? And why would he credit him with the "invention of the human" within literature? Did I fall for very easy bait?

yes you fell for easy shitposting bait, your cynical side should override your sincere one when browsing this place

Oh it does, but what he said wasn't even crude or antagonistic, it was simply wrong. Has it gotten this bad?

Jesus. Looks like a lot of them exist because Hungarian doesn't do prepositions, it inflects the nouns instead. So something being "in" something has a different case than something being "on" something.

Hmmmm, that's really interesting. I wonder how they teach this to young students. When I was taught English grammar I wasn't even taught what a case was. I wonder if this leads to the general population having a stronger grasp on proper grammar than, say, the USA.

You fell for my bait.
This bait is also a filter, a joke perhaps, which only people who have read Bloom will get. He admiration is to the point of deification.
This fact that people have to stop and think while others might even unquestioningly believe it fills me with joy.
