You have to learn Latin and read the original printing of Tractatus. It's not the same, otherwise.

Why the fuck do people keep asking these questions. FFS, any author should be read in chronological order to get a sense of his progression as a thinker.

The are around the eyes of course, then down the length of his face to the point of the white highlight.

Here is my guide:

Read some background information on Frege and Russell, and then read the Philosophical Investigations. You could also read a companion first, such as William Child's book. Then you start with PI and if you liked it, tackle the Tractatus and bear in mind it's very outdated.

This. Do make sure to read PI before Tractatus, despite what the chronological autists will tell you. Get a little background of Frege and Russell, the articles and secondary sources in >>9283521 are good, but don't go overboard. Read the Ray Monk Biography. Then, read PI with a secondary source, like the Routledge Guidebook to the Philosophical Investigations, or Baker and Hacker if you have too much time on your hands. Go back to the Tractatus if you want, but it is very outdated, and only important for its historical significance as a stepping stone for the Vienna Circle and late Witty. You could then read "What's the Point of Elucidation?" by Phil Hutchinson, which helps with understanding the different ways that Witty has been interpreted. No, you do not have to go through a formal logic textbook to understand Wittgenstein, unless you want to focus on the outdated Tractatus for whatever reason.

Top left corner to the exact middle. Exact middle to bottom left. Bottom left to exact middle to top right. Top right to middle to bottom right.
