I've only read The Minority Report, A Farewell to Arms, and Dr. Bloodmoney this year. Currently working on The Illuminatus! Trilogy and A Long Strange Trip.

Keep Confessions and Moby Dick, trash the rest.
>>9275128
i wanted to shit on you for being just as reddit as op but the fact that you own a copy of elemental masters is actually amazing and i am jelly
So far this year I've already read Siddhartha, Heart of Darkness, and the Tao te Ching.

Besides moby dick, augustine, cicero, and maybe adam smith that shelf is pop-book trash.

>>9275221
they're read, i'm just not a barbarian who ruins his books while reading them
>buying paperbacks
I know I probably should, but I'm worried that these just will not last. Not even my lifetime, let alone beyond that. What's the point of having a book collection of it won't last for generations in my family? I may as well use the library.
>>9275914
>new
looks like you got newed
>>9276043
i fucking new it
>>9275128
There's only three books worth reading there.
>>9276009
Don't. I'm like you, hardbacks are way more worth it. They're more expensive, but you'll be glad you got it over a paperback a few months after the purchase.
>>9274916
I buy lots of books too.
This year I've read:
>The Master and Margarita
>It Can't Happen Here
>From Dawn to Decadence: 500 Years of Western Cultural Life
>The Pecariat: The Dangerous New Class
>The Clash of Civilizations
>The Leviathan
>Why E=Mc2
It's been a good past three months desu
>>9274966
Was alright book, I don't love adam smith
>>9275149
>Wanting to skip Eastern cultures
>>9275953
Nothing, it's actually one of the best pseudoscience books of our decade but some people just don't like it because it's pseudoscience
>>9274916
From this month
>>9276469
I read those, but I buy a lot.>>9275889
Just because fuck you.>>9275139
Confessions is dog shit. Moby dick is dog shit wrapped in cat shit
>>9275128
Memester. What else did barnes and Noble tell you to read?
>>9275021
Yea I have a business mind, it's immensely valuable in the scheme of things, plus if you're referring to /lit/ as the nerd that shops in the non-fiction then fine. It's too late for you can't be saved. You're better off reading science non fiction
>>9277200
Cool, you can't touch them or read the titles, useless.
>>9277218
oh shit i didnt notice the ropes before i made this shitpost
eh i guess it just makes it even more shitposty
>>9274916
How's unemployment going?
r8 me /lit/ if you dare
>>9276447
That's the thing, I buy them used. They're already half ducked but there's only so much damage you can do to a hardback. Generally I can clean them up. Even if they're already 40. Meanwhile, I've never seen a 40 year old paperback.
Pretty much the worst you get is a dog ear.
>>9274916
Mostly pleb and intro shit, very nice.
