book in the spoils ending the introduction
I never read the introduction to the book until after I'm finished with it.
They are for people who have already read the book once and are now rereading it. If you decide to read a book without having already read it, you are a brainlet and you shouldn't even bother.

Footnote on page 4 of my edition of Phineas Finn:This is, of course, ultimately irrelevant, as Finn nearly becomes Prime Minister before resigning for his political positions
Ruined the entire goddamn book, the entire rest of the way I was just trying to guess how this turn of events would be brought to unfold.

"Igor!" A voice roared "Come here!"
Dutifully the milquetoast man approached carrying a tower of tomes upon his back, scurrying left and right as he focused his gait to steady the books upon his back.
"I haven't got all day you worthless lout!" The voice boomed again. "Theres a man I want you to meet."
Igor picked up the pace and threw his legs forward in careful steps but a bloody hand had lain in his path, causing him to trip. Tumbling, Igor was showered with fluttering pages that fell the saturated red earth and face planted into a decapitated head of a villager. The books fell in the spoils, ruining the introduction.
