Why are there no paragraph breaks in his books?

I've noticed this too

I like this style, it seems more consisted, especially in his books, which are short, and have strong narrative.

why should there be?
In the original German, he often goes multiple pages with a single sentence, so it only makes sense.

Visually easier to parse text.
I think Conrad does the same.
Unecessary, they don't have much of a coherent, visible structure anyways
Anyone know what the best translation of this dude is that best recaptures his technical prowess?

I'm not an expert, but I don't think you're going to find a translation that maintains anything remotely resembling his syntax, which is where much of his "prowess" comes from. Very often ">reading a treanslation" is just a meme, but it's different with Kafka. You're definitely sacrificing a lot. Not that you still shouldn't do it. I've read almost every word of his that's been published in translation and found great enjoyment in it. It's just an unfortunate reality that there are some major connotative and emotional aspects you are definitely giving up in doing so.

They weren't edited for publication by him.
