Most people start with his short story collections Songs of a Dead Dreamer and Grimscribe: His Lives and Works. I did too, they are mostly good. Another fan favorite among the disillusioned is The Conspiracy against the Human Race.

I'll never understand why PKD fans like Flow My Tears so much. I'd do a ranking of his novels but I can't be bothered. I'll just say my favourites are:

Deus Irae (underrated)

Galactic Pot-Healer
A Scanner Darkly

Ubik is overrated as fuck while also being fascinating. I have a strange relationship with that book. Radio Free Albemuth and The Divine Invasion are fucking slogs. Valis and Timothy Archer (so far) are the superior religious novels of his late period.
