Pretty much every prodigy with overbearing parents has had a breakdown of some kind. Go to university at age 12!!! Solve philosophy at age 20!!! Jesus Christ. Has anybody had the philosophy to give kids a rigorous, but attentive and loving childhood so they can be free to do whatever they want with competence in their life? It seems like most of these child prodigies are just made to serve their parents, no wonder they emotionally struggle the way they do.

Listen OP. You don't want to be Sidis. "Child prodigies" are like zoo animals to the world, and they're like trophies to their loved ones (in the worst cases they're more like a high-priced commodity, like a diamond ring or something). The reason why all these people disappear after the age of 24 or something is because they're stunted after everyone they know wouldn't treat them like a human being. Being Sidis would be horrible and the person who wrote that passage was being very perceptive when they chose to use the adverb "relentlessly".

Who the hell cares about your background? Get the basics down, raise your kids right, and make sure your kids don't forget your family's mistakes. If you're not prolific, at least give your kids and grandkids the opportunity, and certainly don't leave them uneducated. It's all up to you now.
About writing... lol I'm too drunk too understand your question. What the hell does Sidis have to do with writing? AFAIK, his only published works are extremely dry and boring, though he has been suspected by colleagues Buck Fuller and others of writing works of history anonymously.
