i don't know, i read some of "the origins of inequality" or whatever which i think is an excerpt of social contract, it was ok kind like 300 years old anthropology, but i just pussied out and watched a couple lectures on it instead, he has a rad style tho with all kinds of gratuitous references to homer and shit, so it's fun, but if he ever really got the origins of inequality, i don't know...
