Mircea Eliade has a lot of books related to mythology
James George Frazers The golden bough is quite popular
Arnold van Genneps Rites of Passage
Carl Jung has a book called "The Science of Mythology" or something along those lines
Victor Turner has a few books on different motifs in myth

I am generally not a big fan of this conformist "let's everybody read the same exact 23 books and talk about them over and over"-thing that goes on here, but if you can go into detail and give me some good reasons for why I should read it, I will have a look.
