I guess it's kind of four connected stories, but In a Foreign Town, In a Foreign Land immediately became a favorite of mine after I first read it. The whole atmosphere is so dreamlike and strange, and it perfectly encapsulates Ligotti's "macabre unreality".
I'm currently reading Noctuary for the first time. I really like The Medusa and Mrs. Rinaldi's Angel
