just finished a really mediocre book. i need something i can really sink my teeth into. characters with depth that you can actually give a shit about. any recommendations? i like a lot of sci-fi, fantasy, post-apocalyptic, and dystopian stuff. doesnt have to be any of those, but thats a good chunk of what im into.

If you want a quicker read, speaker for the dead. Card talks a lot about religion in the book so if you hate that don't read it, though personally I thought it enhanced it.

Forever War was the last sci fi I read that I really enjoyed. Starts off slow but once the the time jumps starts happening it gets really good.
