Do you ever read the Notes section of a book?
>>9201711
Yes. Every single time. Why would anyone not do this?
>>9201832
It breaks the flow. Especially if there is around 60-70 notes for a 20-page chapter and half of those are referring to some random archives
>>9201846
Just reread the book after you finish it the first time.
>>9201854
Nigger, I'm not gonna read a 800-page non-fiction book again
>>9201711
yeah, sometimes they are the most fun things in a book
>>9201846
Notes are part of the book, if you don't read them you don't fully understand the book.

That is a poorly written notes section
>>9201876
This is what I'm talking about. The sources are mingled with the addendums and it messes with your rhythm to turn the cover each time you hit one and you can't come back to them after each chapter cause by that time they become contextless anyway.

Then don't read shitty books anon
>>9201899
It's actually pretty good
>Poem less than 50 pages
>Still 200 pages of notes
I ain't reading all that shit, Vlad

Only if it is critical to understanding

Sometimes I'll read it after finishing the book if I found it particularly challenging (i.e. Paradiso in The Divine Comedy really left me lost most of the time so I referred to the notes after reading through it).
