What do you read next after DFW?
I'm looking for very relatable post-ironic humour. The more twee, the better. I want an enjoyable, cutesy exploration of emotions.
not meme-ing btw

John Green
there are only 5 new sincerity authors
2 have been mentioned and the other three are Tao lin, James Franco and shia lepoof
i think that says all you need to know about this """""ideological movement""""""""""

Awful.
Just go back to Pynchon and DeLillo. New Sincerity is dumb.
you want early Dave Eggers for that.

Stoner unironically

For real "new sincerity" read the later Raymond Carver collections that weren't as heavily edited by Gordon Lish: "Cathedral", "Beginners", and the New Stories in "Where I'm calling from". DFW loved the later Carver stuff.
Kafka.
DFW even has an essay on how funny Kafka is.

Franzen? I dunno, The Corrections read like a more light-hearted DFW
