Finally gonna get around and buy some books you guys recommended for my Birthday coming up soon-ish.
I just don't know if I should get all or maybe only some of these and the rest possibly later.
>Tropic of Cancer
>When a crocodile Eats the Sun
>Hotel du Nord
>Precis de decomposition
>Dracula
>Lolita
>Jane Austen - Emma
>Le coup de vague
>Shopenhauer - but which exactly?
>The COMPLETE Short Stories of Ernest Hemingway
/lit/ convinced me to read Master and Margarita and pretty much everything from DFW. I attribute /lit/ to changing my perspective on DFW.
Conversely, /lit/ told me Atlas Shrugged was bad and it turned out to be good

can work that way as well.
Just go opposite of what /lit/ says because it's a bunch of pseuds anyway

read Schopenhauer, start with On the Fourfold Root of the Principle of Sufficient Reason, then go to On the Freedom of the Will and finish with The World as Will and Representation. You can read anything else by him if you like, but that's the essential.
After seeing the thread in which this was posted I ordered Gravity's Rainbow. Good stuff.
