Start with Kenney's New History Of Western Philosophy for a first overview . After that you can try some lectures - Hubert Dreyfus "Existentialism in Film and Literature" is a great way to actually engage in philosophical thought. You can find it for free online.
Platons dialogues are great and actually fun and easy to read.
