revolt is the probably the least exciting read but also gives you the most complete idea of where he's coming from. there is some really good stuff in there but also a lot of "ancient egypt was like this, ancient greece was like this, imperial rome was like this, the middle ages were like this, but there is absolutely nothing about modern life that redeems it" so just know what you're getting into
