didnt see one in the catalog so heres a stack/recent purchases thread
i didnt expect underworld to be so massive but im looking forward to reading it so whatever
What the fuck is the point of these threads? To discuss works you haven't read yet? To show off shitty used paperbacks? It has no purpose whatsoever. Even an autistic robot pasta is more /lit/ than this shit. Sage.

I was kind of disappointed in Underworld. It felt like Delillo got too cute with the dialogue. Every character spoke the same.
Got some meme books in here. The bottom 3 books I got for $3 each. I plan on getting Durant's whole series eventually.
The rest of the stack was 50 cents a book. I doubt I'll ever read Hyperion.
>>9165844
Great argument as expected. Kys yourself.
>>9165891
Not an argument.
>>9165855
>Reformation volume is bigger than the Renaissance one
what a hack
I love these threads. I like to look at the books people are buying, and maybe get some ideas for what to buy myself. I hope they continue.
>>9165821
Definitely this. I'm tired of these fucking retarded threads
>>9165797
Is the tin drum any good
Seems edgy
>>9166977

>>9166977
What kind of chicken shit faggot uses Gorilla Tape to fix a spine? Use clear packaging tape.
For fucks sake...
What is it btw?
>>9167046
collected works of Chekov in one volume. leather-bound from 1929. some people have been reading the shit out of it. $1 at bmv. can't resist.
>>9165891
>Kys yourself
What did he mean by this?
>>9167095
got one of these name things.
>>9165797
don quixote is a fun and enjoyable read, but it goes nowhere. after like 150 pages, you pretty much get everything you need to know. continue if you enjoy the ride.
Mother in law sent the david icke book. Anyone ever read it? Not really into that sort of thing but imagine it had more to do with my wife's alice in wonderland collection.
I ordered the kawabata book because i love playing go.
>>9167213
that GO master book looks interesting
>>9165821
Fuck off.
My to read/watch/play stack. That's not all, I have the next volumes of Rat Queens, Saga, and Sunstone come in the mail
I'm gonna give up buying books for Lent, so hopefully I'll be able to make a dent in that
>>9167575
have you read ringworld? you should just read ringworld instead of halo novels.
>>9167593
I read Ringworld, and one of the later novels. I liked them both. But this is mostly the haul from the Half Price Books President's Day sale and the Barnes and Noble buy two get one free Image comics sale, and HPB didn't have any Ringworld books
Plus, I like the Halo games, therefore I should like the books, right?
D-dd-did I do G-g-good /lit/?
Look at my books, just look at them.
>>9167625
The Republic is the only good thing, trash literally everything else. Including all the books not in the picture.
>>9167611
I've had a hit or miss experience with franchise novels. Diablo had a shit go of it at times.
>>9166904
I've been really interested in reading the work of Nnedi Okorafor. Report back how it goes please.
>>9167635
fuck off with posts like this. ITS ALL TRASH. just please.
>>9167635
This is so pointlessly agressive I had to laugh.
>>9165851
Agreed, it started great then gradually faded til the epilogue. Just ordered Mao II in case it's better.
>>9166977
Butcher's Crossing is fucking majestic famile
>>9166992
will this be your first murakami experience or have you just run out of firewood?
>>9167575
>buying dvds/games in current year
Did you try Y: The Last Man?
RP1 and HoD in the same pic is positively soul shriveling
Reporting in.
>livingroom couch stack
>>9167674
I read the first half or so of Y the Last Man ages ago, it was one of those deals where I got caught up to the releases but then lost interest waiting for the next trade. Did it turn out good
Ready Player One was a present, don't judge me on it. Judge me on the Warhammer 40k novel
>>9167705
Report in when you finish the Illuminatus trilogy. I've always wanted to try it, but am worried it'll lead to conspiracy craziness
>>9167625
nice book covers, did you buy or make those? i hate how sloppy my edges look when i wrap it with plastic.
>>9167705
All those tabs in the illuminatus trilogy. Wtf man? I havent gotten to my copy. Is it that interesting? Might have to bump it up the list.
>>9167724
>caught up to the releases but then lost interest
same here, was about to ask you about it
give rp1 away, it is that bad. I hate myself just for listening to it while decorating, it was like taking multiple facials from /b/tv/v's collective consciousness for like 10 hours.
I never read 40k but collected for the glue fumes (in retrospect).
>>9167625
been trying to get individual copes of the Arden Shakespeare for myself but the shipping rates are on the expensive side. i found some older second hand copies. any clue if they updated the scholarship any between now and 1954?
>>9167575
>>9165855
Jelly, fucking burgerland has the cheapest books.
All the pretty horses is comfy tho
>>9167575
>I'm gonna give up buying books for Lent
>already bought several soft core comic books
picked all of these up today for $7.50 at the local thrift store
How did I do?
>>9168238
what's the problem?
Should I?
>>9169333
books like that you'll probably be able to find for cheaper at a used book store.
Do you have used book stores in whatever country uses A-Dollars?
>>9169333
The republic is the only good thing there.
