Metro 2033

Honestly it was rather bad - The book tried to blend different genres- there was survival horror, some realistic parts then some more fiction and in the end it came out really patched up. 6/10 book.

Heard a friend say it's bad because apparently it just goes from one place to the next.

So does the game, but it works really well there. One of the last games that I really got sucked into the world with.

I read it when I was 15 and I really enjoyed, gonna look trough it real quick hold on-
Bland, unremarkable writing, too jumpy on his ideas, rarely develops anything which is a shame because the universe is very interesting. Just the idea of using bullets as currency and having to decide wether to use them or to spend them is pretty ingenious. But as anon above said, it goes from place to place.
It's an alright adventure book for a young reader, a nice introduction into what good sci-fi could offer him. I'd recommend it to them, young readers, and disregard it otherwise. Besides, the post-apocalyptic russian universe has already been mastered trough Roadside Picnic and trough the STALKER games.

I'm eading it right now, it's alright but I think that too many characters get killed right when they get interesting. I really like the stalkers though, are there any other books that focus on stalkers?
