What's the deal with the covers of Baen Books?

They do fantasy too

Their sf covers have such a consistent style you would think its all one big series
But no, its not. Although they are generic enough to make you think otherwise.

Something you quickly notice with baen books is how many of them are co-written

Nope. The first book was forgivable because it was interesting. It then became utter schlock right after. Don't even get me started with the half assed politics that became the central point of the later books.
